A fiduciary is a person or organization that acts on behalf of another person or persons to manage assets.Essentially, a fiduciary owes to that other entity the duties of good faith and trust. The highest legal duty of one party to another, being a fiduciary requires being bound ethically to act in the other's best interests.
A fiduciary might be responsible for general well-being, but often the task involves finances—managing the assets of another person, or of a group of people, for example. Money managers, financial advisors, bankers, accountants, executors, board members, and corporate officers all have fiduciary responsibility.
We provide a wide range of services involving financial oversight and protection of assets as well as personal care of individuals who lack the capacity to care for themselves and their assets.
If we are retained privately, our fees are determined on a case by case basis. Fees depend on the complexity of the case and the amount of work required to assure quality representation. We will discuss our fee structures with you and determine if a flat fee or an hourly rate is most suited to your needs. We will never generate unnecessary expenses or claim unwarranted excessive hours. We want you to trust us and the work we are doing for you or your loved one.
In the event that our representation results in the court appointing us as guardian or personal representative, the fees will be approved by the court.
